6 Hour Run Down to Mobile Alabama

Into Mobile Alabama after a 6 hour run down the Tombigbee from our overnight anchorage at the Tensaw River (Mile 39.1) cut off... turns into the Mobile River... under the Cockrane Bridge then south through Mobile Harbor traffic (no wake zone enforced by Mobile Harbor Patrol)... south on the main ship channel we turned to starboard between markers 63-65 then ran up a narrow channel and under the bridge into Dog River Marina. I'm home honey! LOL... well almost.

After a 3 oz Margarita cocktail on the stern deck aboard SOJOURN followed by dinner at the Mobile Yacht Club... it was back to GG for some blogging and a quiet night to decompress after five months underway on the GREAT LOOP. Its been close to 4,000 miles... just 6,000 more miles home to Astoria Oregon. Tropical Storm Ida - select your track.... so we can depart for Panama.

For five months through rain, cold and heat and after nearly 4,000 miles - every step of the way was tracked and all "OK" messages delivered without a problem by http://www.findmespot.com - Kudos!
