Goodbye EL CID MARINA Cancun Mexico - Hello Panama

The time has come to say our goodbyes to the marina staff and new friends at EL CID MARINA about 30km south of Cancun Mexico near the Port of Morelos known as the Cancun Riviera.

We have filled our diesel fuel tanks with 262 gallons @$3.95/gallon and paid our 13 nights of dock berthing after discounts was only $30/night.  All in all a very welcome surprise for an upscale well managed marina which includes resort perks like use of the swimming pools and a cafe for dining etc.

KUDOS to Dockmaster Armando (email: agutierrez@elcid.com.mx) and his assistant Katy!  We highly recommend EL CID MARINA when in this area (we also heard there is an El Cid Marina in Mazatlan too).

We also would like to suggest you contact Capitan Luis Roberto Moreno (email: captbeto@yahoo.com) to handle your in/out Mexico clearance.

The storm front has just past and here is a nice rainbow to send us on our way to Panama.  ETA +5 days

Armando, Katy and Capt. Moreno

P.S. when spending a week - request Dock "A" to avoid swell surge from the entrance during storms.

C-ya in paradise,
Doug & Michelle
