"Those who don't fish, can't really understand what they're missing," reads the description of Kayak Fishing Tales' most recent video. Instead of the usual Kayak Fishing Tales format, this video doesn't explain the how of kayak fishing, but the why.
Jim Sammons, Kayak Fishing Tales host, Jackson Kayak pro, and big game expert, "explains what drives him to travel the world in search of the next big bite," and why saltwater is his favorite kind of water to fish.
Ken Whiting, the publisher of Heliconia Press and Kayak Fishing Tales said, "This video is what we call premium Kayak Fishing Tales content. We will be producing more premium Kayak Fishing Tales content throughout the year, but not on a regular schedule."
Whiting said, "We wanted to make this video for two reasons: For one, we wanted a cool kayak fishing video that all anglers would enjoy, that they could relate to and that would help promote the sport of kayak fishing. Secondly, we wanted to produce a video that shows the side of Jim Sammons that few people know – the kid who lives for the hook up. It's the combination of 'inspiration' and 'education' that fosters the growth of a sport."
"Personally," he said, "kayak fishing is special for me because it not only combines two of my favorite activities, but it enhances both of them! I guess you could say that kayak fishing is a lot like a Reece's Peanut Butter Cup."
